Charlize is our Manager and the heart behind Accelerate Academy. She has many years of experience in the music world, performing solo and as part of bands. Having studied and graduated with her Bachelors, she has been an integral part of the growth and development of a number of music schools and programs. Her dream is to show people what they are capable of and her goal is to create a community of confident people and performers who take life on with courage, radical love and fun. When she's not at the Academy, you'll find her spending time with her friends and family, trying out new places to eat, or engrossed in books, research and lectures about psychology and neurodiversity. This is a particularly huge passion of hers as she longs to see every child nurtured, championed and encouraged to grow in confidence, regardless of where they sit on the spectrum.

Naomi grew up in the Fiji Islands where music plays a big role in life and culture. Being part of a musical family, she started singing and performing on stage from the age of 4 and continued to be involved in number of bands and musical productions all through her school years. After teaching herself to play the guitar, piano and flute, she decided to study Music Theory in order to gain a better understanding of music. She went on to teach music and creative arts classes in schools with students aged 5-19, and also worked with youth and church music teams. Naomi especially loves working with choirs and singing groups and is always on the lookout for a new and unique musical instrument to learn. When she's not at the Academy, you'll find her spending time with her husband, working on a marketing plan , volunteering at her local church where she pastors alongside her husband, or out in nature.
